Its finally 80% done..acrylic on canvas...under the same series..need a bigger canvas for more exploration of idea...Nanyang here I come...

Finally, I had a chance to visit Nanyang at Petaling Street with the help of GPS...but I had to made few rounds..lupa and terlepas jalan

Bought some materials at Nanyang Petaling Street..there are too many choices from canvas, acrylic paints..I bought 2 primed canvas with Galleria acrylic paint (Windsor & Newton)and brushes..synthetic.

Brochure of Galleria product...it feels like looking at cosmetic brochure ...hehehe

JW Marriot Putrajaya

JW Marriot Putrajaya is located adjacent to Palm Garden Hotel, IOI Resort..the have quite a number of paintings in this hotel, unfortunately the walkway towards the lobby were dark due to unknown reason and nobody can appreciate their wall deco.

I like this particular piece, the colour combination

This is my saturday journal, the theme is gardening, we did some gardening with my kid, arranging the pots, mix the soil with fertilizer and bought new plants with colours to add 'soul' the mini garden...



it's kinda 'naive art'

I did some sketches with 2B pencil and artline pen 0.4 last month with a theme ' crossing the bridge'...just experimenting with idea first

I think I'm going t use acrylic paint on canvas this time and the size would be 2'x2'..lets hope it will be done before end of this year

Art journal and reminder :

I just finished with this reminder which will be pasted on our door leading to the dry yard, our maid always have this bad habit of not closing the door at night. I thought why not making this as a piece of art rather than just a blank white paper with instruction.

I used left over stuff ..from old product catalgue to old letters, and make a collage

I purposely used this background to relate to the content of this reminder..

Art journal page for 09-09-09 on Wednesday..i even bought a newspaper for the sake of making a collage later today.

I need to be more expressive with the colour and arrangement of the collage..need canvas and acrylic paint as well...

I just started working on this art journal, a combination of collage and daily journal..this will also will be a documentation of love for the kids to inherit ...

I need more collage, coloured the paper first and then paste it on this journal


I think it needs more colour to make it bolder and outstanding..

I only had a chance to visit Laman Seni on its final day, with kids on tow, it was hard to spend time looking and admiring all these artwork

Galeri Petronas KLCC

I went to KLCC meeting a friend and since I got ample time to wander around, I thought that it might be a good opportunity to step in to Galeri Petronas and be inspired by looking at other people's artwork..

The last time I was there was many years ago..therefore I had to rely on KLCC'S interactive screen guide..after following the instruction given, I had to walked cross the podium to the end..at last I was there but the gallery was closed for renovation...

Bad day..with aching feet...I walked back to LRT station with zero inspiration..

They should have mentioned about the closing in that damn thing.

Art Supplies in Kuala Lumpur

I've been planning to buy some canvas and acrylic paint but could not find the nearest shop..the only place that I know is Nanyang in Petaling Street but going there is not really a big problem, the only hurdle is to find parking space...I googled and found out about this shop somewhere near The Mines...and I've found the location from Google Earth and will save it in my Garmin...fuhh...

Doing this sketch reminds me of Langkawi...



I think when it comes to beach and open area like this, it is best using water colour coz it would come alive..The softness of watercolour will bring out the sea and sand which are the most prominent object.


I just play around wiht 'Paint' and invert this drawing...looks like a night scene

A friend asked me to sketch a scenery of lake and some trees..she said that her daughter likes to draw and she wanted to show this to her.

60% done..but at first I thought of using water colour but since I could not find watercolour paper in Putrajaya..I Just stick with pencil..but need to make it bolder.

Watercolour painting and ink sketches:

I just recovered my old watercolour painting and sketches during my last trip home. Those were done back in 1997..almost 12 years now, they are evidence and proof that I need to sharpened watercolour skill and even skecthing with pen and marker.

I did not use water colour paper but just normal plain paper..Watercolour looks better on it's own special paper..but quite expensive for me at that time:-)




I used Chinese painting brush for this one (the brush which i did nt remember the name comes in bamboo holder)..this is wet on wet technique


I laugh when I first look at this one last night..need to be bolder and more detail


OOh ya same with one..too plain


Man...i should have done better on this one, but i like the reflection on a pond


Ink and watercolour..this technique needs more time to get various depth and tone. I used Artline 0.4, should have used 0.6 as well..


I draw this one base on a photograph..solely with ink, need to be bolder too

It seems like I will not participate in this exhibition at Balai Seni...have not finish up the painting and not even bought a new canvas ...i've the idea on paper now..maybe I will just proceed with the idea but forget about the exhibition....sigh........

The time has come to start stretching the canvas..

Pameran Seni Catan Angkatan Pelukis Kedah will be held at Balai Seni Negeri from 4th August-1st Sept 2007.

All equipments are in placed but the idea is still not flowing out of this mind......

It was more than six months i've bought new tubes and stretch canvas for my painting project..everytime it was because of time and idea and now its because of something more complex..i read somewhere that artist paint are harmful to pregnant woman..so looks like those canvas going to be in the store room for another 7 months from now..or maybe more.
